Shanghai National Cotton Factory No. Eight (上海國棉八厂供稿) was a very large and famous mill. It has been converted into a cultural venue, the Peninsula 1919 Cultural and Creative Industry Park ( 半岛1919文创产业园), in the 2010s.

The slogan on the wall reads "Keep the motherland in mind and look at the world!" (胸怀祖国放眼世界！). The slogan on the pillar reads "Grasp revolution and promote production" (抓革命促生产).
