The Party cadre in the blue suit serves food in the kitchen of the commune's dining hall. The sign above the door says "Commune members' home" (社员之家). The red banner with yellow characters: "When the dining hall is well-run, the production spirit will be strong" (食堂办得好生产干勁强). The partly visible poster on the wall left of the door could be Jin Meisheng's often reprinted "The vegetables are green, the cucumbers plump, the yield is abundant" (BG E35/586).
