A Chinese-Tibetan expedition summited Mount Everest (Zhumulangma - 珠穆朗玛峰, in Tibetan: Qomolangma - ཇོ་མོ་གླང་མ) on 27 May 1975. The team included Phanthog, also known as Pan Duo (潘多, 1939-2014), a Tibetan mountaineer. Pan Duo was the second woman to successfully climb Everest and the first woman to climb it from the Tibetan side.
