This poster was pasted around tourist hotels in Lhasa soon after the large demonstrations calling for Tibetan independence on October 1, National Day of the People's Republic of China. Western tourists became an important source of information about the violent clashes between demonstrators and police for Western journalists who were denied access to Tibet.
