By the end of 1949, Mao travels to Moscow, to negotiate a friendship treaty with Stalin. He is received in the grand halls of the Kremlin, together with his Minister of Foreign Affairs Zhou Enlai, on the right, chatting with the former Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vyacheslav Molotov (Молотов).
