This massive poster is made up of three separate sheets, measuring 71x300 cm. in total. It presents Chinese history from the founding of the CCP (left hand side) all the way up to the present, with Mao's declaration of the founding of the People's Republic in 1949 in the central panel. Many Party and State luminaries are represented.

It was produced and used as a gift by the People's Liberation Army Jinan Military Region (中国人民解放军济南军区).
