A group of women from various 'national minorities' in their traditional dress visit the Wuhan Steel (武钢) factory, which was put in production in 1958. They are proud and happy to meet a female welder.
Both designers worked in the factory themselves, Song Enhou as welder, Shan Xun as technician.
