This ship is the Minghua (明华), originally a French ship called Ancerville, bought by China in 1973 and used to transport goods and technical personnel to Tanzania for the construction of the TAZARA / TANZAM Railway. In 1983 it was docked permanently in Shekou 6th harbor, Shenzhen, to become part of the 'sea tourism center' Sea World, and was equipped with cafés and restaurants inside. Because of extensive land reclamation since this poster was published, the ship is now completely landlocked.
