Xi Jinping is elected General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party in 2012. Since then, he has taken absolute power and let the Party take ever more control over the lives of individual Chinese. Dissidents are persecuted relentlessly, ethnic minorities forced into Beijing's mold, Hong Kong's relative autonomy has been terminated. Xi's main propaganda theme, "The Chinese Dream", is a concept that can contain anything to make China the most powerful nation in the world. The posters in this section are published by Party and Army organizations, meant for internal use, or by commercial publishers, produced outside the official system.
