"Pictorial explanation of the First Five Year Plan (1953-1957) for the development of the national economy of our nation" (我国发展国民经济的第一个五年(1953-1957)计划图解) is a series of 12 posters, ca. 1955, possibly incomplete.

The nineth sheet, "Growth of major commodities consumed daily over five years" (五年内日常消费的主要商品的增长), shows a number of these commodities (gasoline, vegetable oil, cotton, knitted goods, pork, rubber boots, grain, sugar), as well as a department store and customers. The graph below, "Growth of total retail sales of goods within five years" (五年内社会商品零售总额的增长), shows returns for state establishments, cooperatives, public-private enterprises, and private shops.
