It includes a large number of Party and state leaders and celebrities gathered at a banquet in Zhongnanhai. The image is based on the 1950 National Day banquet, during which Mao Zedong exchanged calligraphies with the famous poet Liu Yazi (柳亚子). Mao is writing his at the table right of center, smiling at Liu Yazi, the older man with glasses and beard.
