Chinese athletes returning from the 1984 Olympic Games, wearing their (gold) medals. They are welcomed by children, all of them wearing the red scarf of the Pioneers. In the middle are members of the women's volleyball team. The man standing in front, left of center, looks like pistol shooter Xu Haifeng (许海峰), China's first ever gold medalist at the Summer Olympics. Right of center, wearing three gold medals, is gymnast Li Ning (李宁).

The first character of the Chinese title is 澳 (ao), not 奥 (also ao), which is normally used in combination with 运 for Olympic Games or Olympics.
