The last image of the series shows the signing of the Agreement in Nanjing on 3 July 1948, with the US Ambassador, John Leighton Stuart (standing in the middle in a gray suit), and the ROC Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Shijie (Wang Shih-chieh, 王世杰, holding the pen/brush). The other two are the Chinese Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and the representative of the American Relief Agency. The text quotes remarks made by the two representatives during the signing.
