Cleaning the house, getting rid of junk, is part of the traditional preparation for Chinese New Year (Spring Festival). The junk buyer, with his scales, is a permanent fixture in China, where people are generally well aware that useless junk actually has a value. Junk buyers and garbage pickers continue to be active, even in the 2020s. Poster published by the Hebei Province Shijiazhuang area local products company.
Part of a series of four.
