"Population education hanging charts" (Renkou jiaoyu gua tu, 人口教育挂图), designed by the Jiangsu jiaoyu xueyuan (江苏教育学院) and the Jiangsusheng dianhua jiaoyuguan (江苏省电化教育馆), is a series of 18 sheets. The series comes with an explanatory booklet, and was sold in a plastic bag.

It comprehensively deals with the effects of (over)population, reproduction, and the need to try and curb population growth.

The slogan reads "Controlling population growth (I)" (控制人口增长[一]).

Top, "Our country's population policy: limit the number of people and improve the quality of the population -- Requirements: late marriage, late childbearing, fewer births, better quality of births -- Goal: strive to keep our country's total population below 1.2 billion by the end of this century" (我国的人口政策：限制人口的数量，提高人口的素质 -- 要求：晚婚晚育少生优生优育 -- 目标：争取本世纪末我国人口总数不起过12亿).

One of the explanations provided is that when people marry at the age of 25, only four generations will be born in a century; when they marry at the age of 20, this will mean five generations in a century.
