The poster illustrates the structure of the legal framework of the PRC, revolving around the Constitution.
It also shows a calligraphy by Zou Yu (邹瑜, Bobai, Guangxi Province, 1920) stating that popularizing legal knowledge is an important part of ruling the nation. Zou Yu joined the CCP in 1938. After the founding of the PRC, he served as Director of the State Seismological Bureau; member of the Political and Legal Committee of the Central Committee of the CCP; and Deputy Secretary-General. He later served as Deputy Minister of Justice, and was promoted to Minister of Justice in 1983. In 1984, he also served as President of the China University of Political Science and Law. In 1988, he resigned as Minister of Justice and President of the China University of Political Science and Law. In the same year, he served as Vice Chairman of the Internal Affairs and Judicial Committee of the National People's Congress. In 1991, he served as President of the Chinese Law Society until 1997.
