The poster further explains the workings of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the PRC (中华人民共和国民法通则). Under the heading "The legitimate civil rights and interests of citizens and legal persons are protected by law and may not be infringed upon by any organization or individual" (公民和法人的合法的民事权益受法律保护，任何组织和个人不得侵犯), it explains "Civil Rights" (民事权利) and "Civil Liability" (民事责任). Special attention is given to "Applicable Laws in Foreign-Related Civil Relations" (涉外民事关系的法律适用) and "Several major provisions on the applicable laws of foreign-related civil relations" (几种较多的涉外民事关系的法律适用的规定).
